Hello, world — a markdown-driven architecture blog
Welcome! My idea for this blog is to use it as a brain dump and a way to improve my writing. I will write in Portuguese or English and use AI for translations.
What a post can contain
Markdown handles prose, lists, and links as you’d expect:
- Bold, italic,
inline code - Links
- Blockquotes and tables
Code blocks
Syntax highlighting comes for free with fenced code blocks:
export function add(a: number, b: number): number {
return a + b;
}
Diagrams (Mermaid)
Flowcharts, sequence diagrams, and more:
graph TD
A[Markdown file] --> B[Astro build]
B --> C[Static HTML]
C --> D[Nginx / Docker]
D --> E[Reader]
Charts
Mermaid can also draw charts:
pie title Time in a build
"Markdown parse" : 20
"Render" : 30
"Asset optimize" : 50
Images
Images live alongside the content:
Architecture
| Layer | Technology |
|---|---|
| Content | Markdown (git) |
| Build | Astro |
| Serve | Nginx (Docker) |
| Analytics | GoatCounter (self-hosted) |
That’s the whole stack. Small, fast, and fully under your control.
